The month of May is marked in the Argelita calendar by the festival of the Santa Cruz. And it is that the neighbors have been waiting for this festival since the month of January, when with the money raised in the auction held after the festival of San Antonio they begin to organize the day in honor of the Santa Cruz. With this, it is not surprising that this festival has a symbolic and emotional content for the residents of the town, who come in procession to the Calvary of the municipality and later celebrate this day in brotherhood.

One of the most culturally active weeks for Spanish towns is Holy Week, and Argelita is no exception. Therefore, in the week of April 6 to 10, the town celebrates different religious and festive activities in which residents and visitors are invited to participate.
