There are numerous caves for caving for all levels and tastes throughout Espadán-Mijares. This activity allows you to go deep into the heart of the Sierra de Espadán and get to know this fantastic territory in a different and fun way. There are also several ways to enjoy it: horizontal, vertical or aquatic, depending on the tastes and preferences of your group. Are you ready? Discover Espadán-Mijares from the inside. 

Do you want to experience an adventure with your family? Do you want to start climbing together? In Espadán-Mijares, you will have the opportunity to go climbing on easy access routes so that you can start from 0. But for those who are more advanced, there is also the possibility of sports climbing in areas of greater importance.

The Benitandús reservoir is a perfect place to enjoy an aquatic experience with the whole family or your friends. In this experience, you will enter the fantastic world of surfing, but with a very different variant, you will get on a larger board on which you will carry a paddle to move through the water. You have the option of either paddle surfing or stand-up paddle surfing.

The presence of Muslims throughout the Valencian Community was notorious. That is why, in the Espadán-Mijares municipality group, you can find numerous clues and remains of ancient Muslim fortresses, nestled among the attractive forests and mountains of the Sierra de Espadán. Many of these fortifications still preserve numerous intact engravings and decoys of what was a long-lasting history. They are also perfect places for children to visit and imagine the stories of what once were in these monuments and that today are interwoven within the walls that remain.

Enjoy a unique day in the town of Toga thanks to the different activities you can perform. You can visit an ancient Iberian settlement with different remains belonging to the Castillet archaeological site or the feudal castle-palace. After this visit, and as nature lovers, head into the magnificent and lush Sierra de Espadán, taking one of the best hiking trails near the town, where you can discover the walls of the Azud Canyon. Furthermore, the more adventurous can also enjoy excellent canyoning routes. 

Do you want to experience adventure? The town of Vallat has one of the best climbing areas. You can spend a perfect day in one of its 5 climbing areas, as they give you the opportunity to climb in different areas. The walls have a multitude of spires, channels and buttresses criss-crossed by lines of plates, which makes it a much more attractive area. To recharge your batteries, we recommend that you go to the village of Espadilla to enjoy its gastronomy in bar Sargantana.    

Torralba del Pinar, located in the municipality group of Espadán-Mijares, is a town with many symbolic places related to religious art. You will start the day visiting the village church, which has an 18th-century processional cross of great artistic value. Ancient legends say that in the church you could see engraved crosses that the boys engraved before going to war, as a symbol of receiving protection. On the way out of the village, there is a hermitage built on the site of an old mosque. Torralba has one of the most important natural landscapes, you will find a micro-reserve with protected species, El Tajar. To get your strength back, in the village you have Bar-cafeteria Esperanza.

Enjoy a super fun activity with friends or family and spend a very entertaining day at the Ribesalbes reservoir. This new group variant of paddle surfing is done with an XXL board, where you can all be on it at the same time. It will be a perfect and unforgettable experience in an idyllic setting. You can also enjoy a picnic day, renting your equipment at the Sitjar reservoir itself, located next to the town of Ribesalbes. 

An experience to enjoy in the company of family and friends, in the idyllic surroundings of the Sitjar reservoir, near the town of Ribesalbes. Here you will be able to perform the activity of kayaking, a unique opportunity to experience a different and fun day. We also recommend that you visit the town of Ribesalbes, and if you are lovers of ceramics, it is the perfect place to discover them first hand, combining the urban and natural environment.

Are you lovers of war history? Visiting the fantastic village of Villamalur will allow you to discover many clues about it. You will have the opportunity to visit one of the best preserved old trenches of the civil war, specifically Line XYZ, built by Republican troops in 1938, thus recalling one of the remaining scenes of the Spanish Civil War. Moreover, you will not only see the trenches, you will also have the opportunity to see the remains of ancient fortresses. At the end of the route, we recommend that you have lunch at bar “El Hogar” and enjoy the local gastronomy.

From the magnificent and impressive Castillo de la Muela del Buey to the village of Argelita, you will head out on a hiking route for the whole family, discovering the many secrets hidden in the natural landscape of the Sierra de Espadán. Corners with spectacular views of the entire mountain range between trees such as cork oaks or pines, also discovering the ruins of the fortress of the Citadel. At the end of the route, we recommend that you go to the Argelita bakery where you can enjoy delicious pastries, both sweet and savoury. The route starts at the Castillo de la Muela del Buey and ends in Argelita.
